Consider the story of a major donor in Beijing, China, Michael, who supported one of the leading animal welfare organizations in Hong Kong, to combat bear bile farming in Vietnam. I acted as the bridge for this relationship since 2022, and Michael’s support didn’t just provide meals for the bears; it inspired tens of thousands of supporters worldwide to give.

Recently, this collective effort enabled the construction of a new sanctuary to rescue all the remaining trapped moon bears in Vietnam, putting an end to bear bile farming for good. Michael’s commitment evolved as more and more people joined the cause, witnessed the transformational impact of their support, and eventually became advocates for systemic change.

This mutual exchange fosters growth, builds empathy, kindness and transforms visions into reality. It reminds us why we do what we do:
